Extraordinary quotes in here. More eloquent than I could've come up with.

That was truly inspirational.
I hope it affects some people enough to vote for Biden.

Note this : they are all retired. Honorable people.

That and Trump would demand a court martial of any military member who would dare to speak against him.

Just a little reminder that not all conservatives are evil... we seem to get a lot of that attitude around here.

It would be reasonable and correct to demand the resignation of any active officer who spoke publicly against the commander-in-chief.

But that's not what this statement does, in any case.

No, but most Republican Trump-supporting “conservatives” are, even if they’re too blind to see it. Evil is as evil supports, says Forrest.

It would also give some additional cred if these people didn’t discover their spine and sense of honor only after they’ve been kicked out of the Trump administration (not that McRaven fits that description).

Whoa. Michael Steele, former RNC chairman, says he’s voting for Joe Biden.

How about that.

There's a fair bit of not being able to admit that they made a mistake voting for that moron in 2016, but there's also an equal amount of really, really, really disliking those smug liberals and having to admit their mistake and then having said liberals say, "I told you so!"

Isn’t McRaven the commander who had the special forces ops killed to cover up the failed raid to get bin Laden, instead they got a bin Laden lookalike who they dumped in the ocean?

For every noted one coming forward there is another voter thinking "I see Trump was right -- the establishment is against him and by extension us"

This is nice but I can't hear it over the din of crickets by just about every_single_other Republican, current and/or retired at what should be an easy ask, especially with their self-professed love of the USA:

Don't you think it is way past time for ALL of us to put country before party?

Whatever good is in this great universe...may it help us get past this horrid chapter that has befallen us. I don't know if we can make it past another term of this.

I doubt we can survive another term under Trump and shudder to imagine what the country would look like by then.

There are likely many people who share his values. The country is really not the "all or nothing" community that media - of all types - would like us to subscribe to … Note that this is saying that there ARE fine people on both sides. Hopefully they'll unite to kick the scumbags out of office in a few weeks.

"Our scumbags are better than your scumbags" -- catchy, maybe we can use it next cycle.

At least we can feel assured the Lakers will be Champions.

How many asterisks **** would you like with that?

LeBron is the Champion, Lakers just happened to be along for the ride -- as were the Heat X 2 and the Cavaliers once.
...as Mookie begins his baseball ascent to LBJ territory.

If LA teams were as good at developing players as they are at acquiring them, no one would ever beat them!

17 Championships for the Lakers and (so far) 5 for the Dodgers tells me they win enough.

I kinda like the head to head Laker/Celt finals stats.

Beesball 6-2 right now, might be some life in that ragtag Florida team yet.

?Does Dave lose his job if the Dodgers don't win¿

McRaven’s genuinely concerned. Good for him. If Biden is elected he’ll be able join all the rest in ignoring all the myriad pathways that lead to Trump becoming elected in the first place.

So to be clear: I can’t chastise him in the least, but only note the work is long, glamour-free, and lends itself to temporary complaint where consistency has value.
