Undecided voters

I'm not sure why the campaigns are still trying to woo undecided voters. If someone is undecided at this point, then their decision will not be rational.

I could just say votes are votes, even if they're irrational ones...

But I do understand what you mean.

I know someone who will continue to put his head in the sand until Nov 3.

That undecided voter is why TV ads need to run even on Nov 3.

The 'undecided' voter at this point is not undecided about for whom to vote, but whether to do so at all.

I'm baffled how anyone could be undecided this year, when the choices are so stark. However, the polls in a number of races I care about, like Senator from SC, show that the race is going to be decided by the people who are still telling pollsters they are "undecided." And that includes those people who decide not to vote at all.

It's why I'm still volunteering for the SC Dem party; writing postcards, calling, etc. Every vote matters a lot this year.

There are plenty of articles about undecided voters and focus groups about undecided voters. They are undecided for 1000s of reasons that most here would find unfathomable.

And then there are the ones who say they are undecided, but really aren't. There are also quite a few who will be voting for the Dump but won't admit it.

I suspect there will be many voting for Biden but won't admit it as well.

But not nearly as many as there are who will be voting for Trump.

Undecideds are endlessly tempting, attractive, and "quick" to earn, or so the sentiment goes. I honestly can't understand why anyone would pursue them. The lure of the mythical easy win must just be too powerful.
