He's being tried in WI in a state court with local prosecutors for violating Wisconsin's laws.

I've been interested to see the folks in my Twitter feed who normally are fervent about bail reform—that bail is not for punishment but merely about ensuring the defendant appears in court—so upset that the kid posted bail.

Well, he did it with 2 million right wing donated dollars, so that might have something to do with it.
