The fact they say that she didn't impact them isn't meaningful. She spent her life keeping Martin Luther King's message alive. The message was the thing not the person.

If 70% of the people responding said the message never affected how they treat people of color, that might mean something!

I did not see her in the news for past 10 years. Jesse Jackson, NAACP, and Farrakan have done more for keeping MLK's dream DOWN than she did for keeping it alive
