...but all I could think about was a thought cloud above Joe's head saying "I'd hit it."

Tina Fey, yes--Palin, no. She could be Billy Mays' evil twin sister.

I'm sorry, I don't see it.
I mean, she's relatively young (about my age), and not hideous, but I don't find her the least bit sexually attractive for some reason.

And trust me, I do not have high standards.

I agree. I don't think she'd normally get a second look, but in the political arena, everything's relative.

Funny, the GF said that he had that look on his face the entire debate.

Her sexuality is pretty much what she has going for her, and in our sexually obsessed culture its a formidable asset. Beauty pageant star, TV personality, cheerleader, come on, she's a woman who learned early on the power of her sexuality and how to use it. Last night was no exception: tight skirt, smiling and winking at the camera, references to soccer moms, even the networks accommodated her with camera angles from behind that showed off her ass. I certainly don't remember that happening in the presidential debate, and even if it did that's the whole point - if it happened I don't remember. There's a strong tradition of sexuality in fundamentalist Christianity - repression fuels desire, woman are submissive to and serve their husbands, they should be ladies in public and @#$%& in the bedroom, the preacher's daughter syndrome, etc.- and she's tapping in to that. This is no accident, otherwise they would have picked someone else with actual creds. The flip side is how they made a big deal of Hillary's lack of attractiveness.
