A question: Why did Obama in his Ft.Hood report
Posted by: samintx
Date: November 06, 2009 10:13AM
---talked about the Indian Conference for about 1 1/2 min. before going to the reason for the press conference...The Ft. Hood Massacre? I could not believe my eyes and ears that he spoke of the Conference BEFORE talking to us about Ft. Hood. Such a robot.

Do you mean when he was offering the closing remarks at the Tribal Nations conference?

I found a blog where somebody is offended that Obama refers to his position as Commander-in-Chief, and then has the audacity to use the word "me."

Don't be so hard on youself Sam. There's a thought somewhere inside you that's not pre-programmed.

It wasn't a press conference. He was making remarks at the closing of the Tribal Nations Conference. If you'd bother to go to whitehouse.gov. you'll see that he cut short his conference remarks and spent the bulk of his time on the tragedy at Ft. Hood.

Is this the video that you may have seen a poorly edited version of Sam ?
This one cuts the rest of the speech out.

Presidents and speakers tend to stick to scripted robotic -like speeches so they don't sound like Biden or Bush.
-and keep an eye off the teleprompter for flying shoes.

What kind of ghoul tries to turn a tragedy into an Obama-bashing opportunity?

This is making me think of Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys. "They Ain't Making Jews like Jesus Anymore" is a hoot. It's on iTunes; I don't know how to put up a link within the iTunes store, sorry.

My guess is they are Texas high school graduates, an example of what No Child Left Behind has dropped in it's wake....

Obama cuts short appearance at Tribal Nations Conference

By Michael D. Shear
After making his comments about the shooting, President Obama cut short his afternoon appearance at the Tribal Nations Conference, which he addressed earlier in the morning. The president did not deliver broader remarks that had been planned for the closing of the conference, instead returning quickly to the White House.

Not quite true. She will come back if she thinks she can play the wounded senior citizen card. But in cases like this where she gets told, she stays away.

I'm surprised that she has the nads to show up after the Mexican thread, though. That was kind of an "Ooops, did I say that out loud?" post.
