I agree we shouldn't make him a martyr.

However....
Putting him into General Pop among the @#$%& Nation, Crips, Bloods and MS 13 wouldn't be a bad idea.

Good!

Give him one of the 'no contact' cells @ Florence [www.supermaxed.com] , preferably in the sub, sub-basement.

Am I the only one who thinks that if he were put into the general prison population, that would effectively be a death sentence?

... agreed, no martyrs.

Um, that was my whole point.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe you get to claim your 70 virgins if you've been killed immediately after being sodomized with a variety of different instruments by big muscular guys with 'THUG LIFE,' 'NORTENOS' or even 'MOM' tattooed on their chests.

Seacrest, I took the comment in your original message to mean that you thought he SHOULD be put in the general population. I'm not in favor of that.

Moose-ow-ee has apparently stated that "I've won" with this verdict. I beg to differ. In martyrdom, he would have won; instead, he rots away, forgotten and unimportant.

That was my round-about way of saying he's a scumbag that should die already, but not by the hand of Uncle Sam.

If he were to meet his end by more "natural" causes, he becomes just another dead prisoner, and we're rid of him just the same.

Seacrest, I'm not sure about that. If he were to be murdered at the hand of a fellow prisoner, it might be viewed around the world as "justice by proxy" -- that we weren't willing to dirty our own hands with killing him, but were willing to put him into our awful prison system and let his fellow prisoners "take care" of him for us...

I think he'd have an 'in' with the muslim prison gangs. Might be pretty bad. He might even be able to communicate with some AlQueda.

Now he will get to operate behind bars with the rest of the prison population and we get to fund it.

This was his reverse psychology plan all along.

deco and SteveJobs, he'll be in solitary his whole life, so no possibility of "operating behind bars" or in any way communicating with Al Queda. True, we shouldn't be paying for the b@stard, but look at it this way-- it's an insurance policy that this guy never amounts to anything in death, or for the rest of his miserable life.

No more money will be spent on appeals; the families affected will not have his face and rantings on the news again. And he doesn't get what HE wants.

A good thing, all in all.

Pops,

you REALLY think his face/voice/message will now wither on the vine? I personally think that we'll see some news outlet try/sue to get access to him - OR - discover new evidence or something to file an appeals. (I know, I know, he admits LOTS of stuff - but that never stopped anyone [read LAWYER] from trying)

He may not be a martyr, but he's a damned good poster boy for the current administration.

Did you know that some of the REAL perpetrators of 9-11 are in custody RIGHT NOW? Yep, it's true. Remember that guy that looks like Ron Jeremy? Or the guy that set Mohammed Atta up with the resources and visas? They are both in american custody.

You might be thinking: Why don't we put THOSE BASTARDS on trial, rather that some chickenshit minion like Moussaui? Well you won't like the answer to that question. The reason they won't try these guys is because THEY ILLEGALLY TORTURED THEM. They don't want this to come out in an American court of law, because they could potentially be SET FREE because of this administrations screwing up at every turn.

Something to think about.

SteveJobs, I very much doubt that this guy will ever have access to anyone for the rest of his natural life, EXCEPT possibly his lawyer (and that's assuming he gets accorded the rights of an American citizen, which is questionable...) ... and you can bet that every single communication he has with anyone will be monitored, regardless of laws to the contrary.

SteveJobs, true, but... even if somebody interviews him, what can they really say? That he's a terrorist? We already knew that. That he's a nutjob? Ditto. For example, Charles Manson gets interviewed every so often, but every time he is, basically he just manages to again convince everybody that he should NEVER get parole. winking smiley

Well, manson is in a class/universe by himself.
I dunno. We'll have to wait and see. If he can have ZERO communication okay ...if not, Dahmer-ize him.

I still can't figure out what Moussaoui did, exactly. It sounds like he was an extremely peripheral character, in fact some things I've read make it sound like the Al Quaeda people thought he was nuts and tried to freeze him out. As near as I can tell, we are trying to blame him for September 11th because his answers to some questions a few weeks before it happened were not revealing enough.

If we are going to prosecute people who could have prevented 9/11 if they had only said or done things differently, there's some folks in the FBI who could certainly qualify. And elsewhere, if you catch my drift.

No, I don't think $tevie is joking. Why don't you tell us, just what act did he do that he should have died for? Because he's nuts? Because he knows all the inflammatory rhetoric?

What act did he do? Not saying he didn't - I don't know. You seem to. What act did he do?

He is the administration's "Mike Brown" of AlQaida.

A patsy. Pure and simple.

mick e is not saying he doesn't deserve punishment, but life in prison for someone who never actually did anything could be construed as excessive.

America has actual participants of 911 IN CUSTODY and for some reason hasn't charged them, much less brought them to trial. Apparently they think stewing this kookbiscuit is sufficient justice.
