So Rowdy is either arguing that Santa Claus is a real person, alive today, residing at the North Pole (which raises questions about why he isn't more concerned about Global Warming)

He is arguing that the Bush administration never issued orders to perform warrentless wiretaps, or (I am guessing "torture" or "abuse" prisoners, or any of the other things (by which he may mean; ignore the Uniform Code of Military Justice, violate the "quaint" Geneva Conventions, collect intelligence on Peace Activists, etc. None of which "things" they deny having done -- asserting only that President had the authority to do them).

He is arguing that alerting the voting public to these (uncontested) facts about the Bush administration is as cruel as telling a 6 year old child that there is no Santa Claus.

Whatever the case, he's like a one man Fox news focus group; not interested in facts, incompetent to draw conclusions from what he hears or reads, and incapable of processing information that does not comport with his prejudices.

As for the linked article: Ms. Farrisi is a jerk. She should have made her objections to the lesson plan known to the administrators and asked to be allowed to teach an alternate lesson that day. Elizabeth Schaeffer who "giggl[ed] with satisfaction at the thought of Farrisi opening her letter, which enclosed a photocopy of Francis P. Church’s Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus is an idiot, and so is her daughter who still believes in Santa, even after being told that he died in 343 AD.
