Thanks for that.

At the Mac factory in Fremont, there were Mac 512s running HC sitting next to the assembly robot cells. A couple guys wrote HC stacks for switching the control programs according to the product being built. Pretty corny, but it made good PR: Macs building Macs.

Maybe Google will come up with a replacement for Hypercard. Their Blockly program seems to be an experiment in modular programming for the masses.

I have to admit, while I loved my Mac SEs and successors, I never understood Hypercard: what was it supposed to do, and how was it supposed to do it? My mind was too linear, or too literal, or something.

I really liked (and understood) FileMaker, though.

Aw, sorry, Mattkime, I was ready to post that you can have my copy, but I thought I should check to see if I still had it and, alas, it must have gone off to goodwill in the last clean up.

I bloody LOVED Hypercard... wrote a bunch of stacks that my company used for documentation, etc... Then Apple abandoned it. Sadness... Never found anything like it after that. My copy of "the Bible" is long gone... feh, probably 20 years ago.

I got a free copy of Myst when I bought Hypercard...which was used to develop that game.
