The Enquirer has been on this story for some time, but have photos, witnessses and video to back it up. Say all you want about the National Enquirer they do break some amazing (and true) stories.

I don't know why Dems are surprised at this. Might it be because many of them feel that being a "Democrat" somehow makes them immune to the consequences of personal choice?

Ya know, it's within the realm of possibility that Edwards has had an affair, but then you can say the same thing about anyone you can point at. However, the articles Shakeman...I mean Swampy and Threeprong
...has pointed at have absolutely zero substantiation. Note the following minor details in the FoxNews and Inquirer articles:

"The guard did not recognize Edwards at the time of the incident, but said he concluded it was the 2008 presidential hopeful after hearing reports about the incident and finding an Enquirer reporter's notebook at the scene."

Now there's a smoking gun! Some guy who saw some guy who he didn't recognize.

"However, the Enquirer has thus far declined repeated requests by FOXNews.com to release any photographs or videotape evidence of the incident"

Let's see now. The Enquirer, whose sole mission is to publish revealing photos of celebrities in compromising positions refused to publish or release the photos, preferring to publish only old file photos? What's wrong with this picture?

"FOXNews.com could not independently confirm the Enquirer's allegations. Perel also declined to identify where the Enquirer received the information about Edwards' alleged visits."

But we published it anyway! Talk about unethical reporting.
