Installing MS Office 2011 on an iMac with no Optical Drive... - 3 days ago
Setting up my moms new iMac at the office and went to load her new MS office and then remembered she didn't have a optical drive... Guess I should of spent the extra $50 and got an external super drive... So, I went to download it from MS's site and I was told "this license does not allow for a digital download" (or something like that). Left NetFlix about a year ago or so... They are offering me a two week trial again and thinking of signing up just to watch "House of Cards". Just wondering if their streaming list has improved? I signed up for Amazon Prime (weak moment) and I'm having problems finding good content on there. Not bad. I agree... There was a chain pizza place near us that sucked compared to the other chains... Since it closed there has been 4-6 more pizza places open and "fail" since... Pretty nice deal. I have a 720p 32" Panasonic and Blu-Ray looks better than DVD on this TV. I'm really seriously curious what 1080p will look like though. We've picked up "Wreck It Ralph" and "Tron Legacy" on blu-ray (For the kids... ummm, yeah... thats it) and my sister in law picked up Paranorman for my sons b-day. Never saw Avatar but a good friend told me it's a "must have" on Blu-Ray. Just looking for some suggestions. My mom's work iMac (intel 17") has vertical lines on the screen. Started out with only a 1 or 2 but there are about 6-8 or more lines and she's asked me to find her a replacement. What kind of stinks is that when we purchased this iMac I was pretty sure it was about $1000 and the cheapest replacement is about $1300.00. A few years ago I setup a blog/site for my home arcade projects... I use bluehost and installed wordpress from wordpress.org. I pretty much hacked my way through it with some help from my friend who is kind of a pro. I added a css plugin utility to firefox and could visually tweak my code (just for previewing) and then would use Text Wrangler to edit my style sheets. I can "try"by spacescape - Tips and Deals

Just to follow up I rebooted the system and I get a "free with amazon prime" (or something of that matter). However, kind of clumsy IMO and they still say "$1.99" (or whatever the price is) but when you click on it you get the "free". Finally getting around to setting up the internet connection (wifi) on my new Panasonic Blu-Ray DVD player so I could play around with some of the streaming video services. Especially want to try Amazon Instant Video seeing I signed up for the 30 day trail of Amazon Prime about a week ago. My Bluray player just arrived last week and have yet had time to hook it up... My entertainment center/tv stand (IKEA) isn't huge and comfortably holds the Onkyo receiver, HD DVR Cable Box (I cannot wait to get rid of this type of equipment) & Panasonic DVD / VHS... Without the "you should of put them on eBay and got $250+ each". I got $400 for the pair this morning. No dealing with the $500 questions or the flaky buyers that said I didn't disclose something. Our new "refurbished" iPhone 5ths arrived Wednesday and set up the 32GB on Thursday and the 16GB on Friday... We loved our iPhone 4's but must say that the iPhone 5's are that much better!!! To top it off, unlocked and restored the iPhone 4's to factory settings yesterday... Listed them on craigslist this morning and by noon...
