CJ, have you used an iPhone? Every time I use a Blackberry (and it's relatively frequently, although always for fairly short amounts of time--I provide support for our mobile devices at work), I'm amazed by how lousy the interface seems, and frankly how much it sucks completely compared to the iPhone (in my opinion). If you *have* used both, what are the things you like better about each?

That Marble Pursuit game looks like it may be similar to "Aggravation" (the board game). We played over the summer at my mom's house, and had a ball! You try to get your 4 marbles from your "Home' to the "Finish Area" all the while bumping other people's marbles back to their Home, and trying to avoid getting bumped yourself.

I always used to think that there could be sensors in the roads, and sensors in the cars, so that you'd just pull onto a highway, then the sensor would keep the car driving straight, and at a speed such that it wouldn't hit other cars, etc. There could be a lane for "emergency" use, when one had to get somewhere in a hurry.

It won't allow for all the uploading, etc., that you describe, but do you know that Reunion can export web pages of all the genealogy data it contains? That includes the multimedia (pix, audio, video), and maybe random documents that you associate with a family record. Not sure how long it's gonna take for the thumb drive you sent to get to him, but if it was me, I'd have him go to a store and just buy a big thumb drive. They're pretty cheap, and I wouldn't want to wait any longer than absolutely necessary to get those files backed up.
