If stephen@company.com does not exist, the sender is supposed to receive a 550 "no such user" status code from the server. As stated earlier, some smaller entities might setup aliases for common misspellings or mistakes, or use a catch-all to try to catch typos.

My new fave editor is SublimeText2. I am forced to work in Windows at work, and it is cross-platform like that. I am primarily a Drupal dev these days (with some ruby/rails/python scripts thrown-in on the side), so I only write code. If it's WYSIWYG you seek, I am not the guy to ask. Dreamweaver is still a top-notch application for that, but that world is being largely superseded by tec
