A second on Cuisinart. I have a Grind~n~Brew model that I love. I typically make six cups (of the possible 12 cup capacity) and enjoy that in my 1 liter thermal cup. I normally finished it in about 15~20 minutes. The hardest thing is for me to remember to wash out the grinding chamber so that it will have dried out when I want to use it late in the day.

Rechargeable battery packs often have standard size (AA, AAA etc) cells wired in a particular way. There were people who would rebuild rechargeable battery packs. If you can't find such a rebuilder, open up the case of a dead battery and see what's in there. You just may find something you can replace yourself.
