I sat and watched a Robin desperately try to pull a long string that I use to tie back an inside plant to a tree when it's outside. She carefully gathered the string one loop at a time in her beak, and then tried to fly off with it . But it's nailed to a tree. It was like watching a fish fight a line . I felt bad. hal- Good point. She was driving and got pulled over. The officer 'smelled weed' and asked her if she was stoned. She said no. The officer asked if she had smoked earlier. She stupidly said yes. The officer asked for permission to search the vehicle. She declined. The officer declared that because she had confessed to smoking earlier in the day, he had cause to search the vehicle. Catz- I purchased a Melitta JavaJig for my Keurig. Wal Mart sells them sometimes too. Little bitty filter, one scoop of coffee, fresh cup when I want it. Works flawlessly. And I put it into a Contigo thermal travel cup, which keeps my coffee warm for hours. So I don't drink as much. I heartily recommend it over a thermal carafe maker. FWIW... I've noted here that illegality is a bit silly. To me the real issue is maturity. She knew it was against the law, but did it any way. It's a lack of respect for the law, for herself, and for her parents. She's lucky they changed the laws a few years ago to make it a class I misdemeanor.
