Well after spending about 3 hours reading through various eBay Forums...

It looks like the best thing for one to do is offer free shipping on virtually everything. Just add the price
of shipping to the item. Like someone on the forum over there said with free shipping there's no more
shipping discounts, if they buy 3 items and they can be shipped for $3.00 and you've already added in
$2.50 for each item you're $4.50 to the good. BIN and Listing Fees are going to be free for the first 50
items/month. I believe if you offer Free Shipping they can't leave anything but a 5.0 on the Shipping and
Handling Charges DSR part of your feedback. Anyway now eBay will be collecting fees on shipping charges
through PayPal and eBay so Sellers will be paying fees on shipping twice instead of once. There's
some really pi$$ed people over there on the eBay forums. The usual stuff, "I'm quitting for good this time",
"I'm going somewhere else", they never do it. I've told my wife to try eBid and she's thinking of trying
it just to see what happens.

Yes, add in the cost of the shipping and the extra fee charged for the shipping. eBay is still the best market available.

Unless you do a BIN, how can you add in the cost of shipping? A regular auction will now cause the average seller to lose money, especially on heavier items.

Sam 3 actually has a point.

Some people get cvarried away in the bidding process and they had a set figure in mind. Suppose they're willing to pay $10 for that item. Fine, they win, then they check shipping rates and send you $15 via paypal.

With "free" shipping, they will probably still bet $10, and now you have to pay $5 to ship the damn item.

The only way to add the shipping would be BIN

Sam 3 has a very valid point. Large objects are going to be a problem. Many of you know what my wife sells
on eBay and know they are lightweight items usually less than 2 oz. A 1oz. package is going to cost about
$1.50 in postage, then 15ยข for Delivery Confirmation, then the padded envelope or small box and you're
looking at about $2 shipping. She knows about what she can get for her items. If she's going to get $7 for
a item just charge $9 and offer it as free shipping which attracts a lot people. I know I buy more off
Amazon since my son put me on his Prime, without it I wouldn't buy as much.

There was one guy over on eBay forums that sells tires and his shipping is usually is $25-100 and he's quite
upset by these new fees and I don't blame him. I remember selling our sons complete Pokemon Card
Collection and the buyer was in England and wanted them fast so it was Express something like $98
shipping. Now I did see something about they would charge fees on the lowest listed shipping cost
that you offer. I really don't see how they're going to make that work. Many people give more one
option for shipping speed. I guess time will tell. Next it will be forced free shipping but if they do that,
that's it for the small sellers on eBay.
