There is a significant difference between a traditional fiscal conservative from the 70's and the reactionary tax protestors from the late 00's. My mom was going to send a donation to some T.E.A. group that farmed her name from the voter roles until I explained that her medicare and social security were part of the "entitlements" that they were trying to eliminate.
