Colson's lasting legacy isn't the treachery he committed while holding high office but in the damage he did after that in spearheading a right wing evangelical movement, a movement that today threatens to destabilize the country itself.
It's like we've gone back a century to the Scopes monkey trial and William Jennings Bryan. The damage the man inflicted on this country didn't end with his incarceration, he won't be mourned by me.
