Kermit !!!!! I used that VERY productively in 1988 to move satellite tracking data from a VAX-20 in Pittsburgh to a Compaq DOS 'luggable' in Baluchistan. At like 300 baud. Good times.... well, not so much, but it was cool.

I used some of those. I had CompactPro for sure, as well as ResEdit and Zipt-it. I may have had Fetch as well.
Anyone remember First Class BBS software? That was how I connected with the late, great NYMUG BBS. For technical help, the NYMUG BBS was hard to beat. Really better than any forum I've found since on the InterWeb, which is said with no disrespect to anyone here. Participants included David Lerner of Tekserve and Sandee Cohen.

It seems like an FTP client would still be useful to some people, especially to those who are uploading files.

Man... some memories there!
Eudora 1.5.2
Macppp
popchar
Netscape
Fetch 3.0 (loved that little dog icon...)
I remember running those on my Mac Classic, or maybe on my LCIII.

Anybody remember Red Ryder?
I remember when Zmodem came it - so much faster than all the back-and-forth with Kermit!

How about White Knight?
And then there was my first ISP, Delphi, which bet the farm that Mosaic and the like, with their newfangled, frivolous graphic user interface for the internet, would never amount to anything.
