iPhone battery
#1
At what point (battery capacity) do you seriously consider replacing the battery in your iPhone?

I have an 8+ which is working very well with the latest iOS. I don't need or want a new phone. The battery capacity is at 86%, and starting with a full charge in the morning, it is often below 50% at bedtime. There are days where it gets below 35% before I charge it.

since you never run out, I would say keep using it a few more months before you replace it.

And consider putting in a small mobile battery to charge on the go when it fails you.

I do have two power blocks kept charged that I have in the car and the golf bag.

I would think you are good to go. Remember iOS has a special low battery setting that it drops to when you are at 20%. If you are not seeing that, you are fine.

When Im on an all day bike ride or hike I set the phone to settings/battery/low power mode, which greatly extends battery life. For multi-day trips I do this and also carry one of those super light weight "lipstick" batteries that can recharge the phone 2 or 3 times.

When keeping it charged enough to support my daily routine becomes too inconvenient, or functionality is impaired.

For me, that's only happened with only one 'Phone, my 5s, because I kept it longer than any other, before upgrading.

That number was 82%, but that doesn't translate to other 'Phones and their owner's uses.

I think this is as good a suggestion as any, given what the rest of you are saying.

Thanx, all.
