Great article, maco.

I want an M1 mini and Air, and planned on 16G and 8G respectively.

That'll stay the same, but I'll probably get 512G of storage instead of the originally planned 256 (which is double what I have in this 2012 MB).

I wish there were a digital odometer for drives so we could read R-Ws right up until the point of either failure or swapping out the drive.

I've got an external 256G MX300 that has had a lot of hard use over several years now, and the odd OS behaviors may be drive related, and not all on the OS.

I've got a 750G MX300 kicking about so it may be time to put it in, Coach!
