The calendar app is enraging me. Why doesn't it sync well with google calendar?
#1
I have calendar app on my iphone syncing with a gmail account. I don't fucking know when it syncs but its not often enough. I set it to fetch data every 15 minutes but that doesn't seem to fix it. Also, I can't figure out how to tell it to sync when I know it needs to update.

Anyone been through this and found a solution?

Tap the "Calendars" link at the bottom of the screen.

With the list of calendars showing, drag your finger down on the screen.

You'll see the "swirly" icon animation indicating that your calendars are refreshing/syncing.

Tap "Done."

I have no choice but to use both ApCal and GCal as I have an Android phone.
Therefore I set up the sync on the desktop. Works within minutes of new or edited entries.
Once I turned off the ApCal alerts and just get them from G, it's even better.

Still failing to update...removing account and re-adding

Why would an Apple App sync well with Google? Apple's Calendar, Contacts and Notes Apps do NOT "sync" well within the Apple iOS / macOS realm. Palm's similar Apps from ~ THIRTY YEARS AGO did a MUCH better job in ALL those areas. Apple should be ashamed of itself. :boink:
