I've not yet pulled the trigger, but probably will in the next 24 hours to have for the weekend. The single car price is $25. The cost for having it for 30 days is $30 - with unlimited VIN searches. This is the one I'm going to buy.
Am looking to split it or - on a per car basis, if anyone needs it - for relative peanuts!
PM me or email at my namesake at Yahoo and let me know! Be the first in your neighborhood to tell the guy up the street with the Ferrari that HIS was flipped, and issued a salvage title - just because YOU CAN!

So the cost is $360 per year. There are over 1000 members on this forum, but probably no everyone is interested in CarFax. If we get a group of 300-400 people, that comes down to $1/year/member for unlimited CarFAx searches. Or even with only 100 people, it's around 3-4 bucks each for one whole year.
Of course, someone would have to collect all these small checks and open a CarFAx account and then PM CarFax reports only to those who paid.
Is anyone interested? Does anyone volunteer to do this task?

no no no.....
it's just one month. $30. That's all. I'll probably only use it on 3 or 4 cars.... but they may not be on the same day, so it is cheaper to get the "30 day" option than paying $25 per car.
While what you say is feasible --- there are other plans for volume discounts. They bottom out at about $5 per car - but they are for dealers and credit unions (and whoever wants to pay them!).
This is just a one time thing (God, I hope....), so I can find out what the car selling liars are saying that is untrue (the most recent "Show Room Condition!" car will make a great tale - and in Atlanta or other areas like Houston, Chicago, etc., where the METRO can still involve a 150 mile round trip to see a car, running the car will save you a ton on gas money by not wasting your time to even go LOOK at it (to learn it was titled in New Orleans during Katrina - which explains all the rust and aluminum corrosion).
Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Since the question comes up about once a month, I suggested getting a "permanent" MRF account, but if you say NO NO NO ... , then you don't have to participate.
