I've had a set of their SR80's since about 2002. They are by far the best-sounding headphones I've ever used. Very clear and accurate from low to high. The only gripe that I have and sometimes hear from others is that they aren't closed-ear designed, i.e. they don't block off all outside noise. They're great for listening to music at home, but probably not on the subway or in the car.

very good price on those 60's

Joe Grado made his name manufacturing brilliant phono cartridges, then added headphone design in his later years. A genius innovator and truly one of the fathers of the American audio industry. RIP, Joe.

I've had my SR60 Grados since they were introduced back in the early '90s. Great sound for the money (but no one ever claimed they are comfortable.)

They terminate with a minijack and are efficient enough to be run by an iPod or other portable.

That $69 price is commendable in that it's been $69 since they were introduced back in the early '90s.

Early Grados were definitely uncomfortable.

The foam earcups were also replaced at some point, as they were really uncomfortable for extended wear.

I prefer circum aural type 'phones for home listening. I'd rather be wearing something like the Grados if I was out and about, than something that surrounds the ears. I don't wear tight-sealing earbuds either. You have to have some aural awareness when in public.
