The worst sexual abuse scandal in Major League Baseball history has intensified, with eight more men alleging they were molested as youths by Donald J. Fitzpatrick, the former clubhouse manager of the Red Sox. The eight men, including two ex-batboys for the Baltimore Orioles, have come forward since two former Sox clubhouse attendants accused Fitzpatrick in December of sexually abusing them as teenagers at Fenway Park. The new allegations bring the number of men who have accused Fitzpatrick of molesting them to more than 20. wrote:

Here's a Weird Factoid: the Baltimore Sun has not covered this in any way. There isn't even a breaking news blurb to say the Boston Globe is reporting.

Jeez, I hope none of those kids went to Penn State.
(I know it's nothing to joke about, but whatever)

This is really the first I've heard of it but I'm on the west coast.
How could it get worse? Frank McCourt could return to Boston and buy the Red Sox.

This is the first time I've heard of it, too, but since our paper appears to be on a self-imposed blackout on the subject I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

These days the parking lot guy would be hard pressed to afford Sox tickets, his ex-wife on the other hand...
