With all the media hype (biased?) on pits I have developed a respect for those breeds. Still I walk them at the shelter. I also have respect for chis and poms. I have been bitten by those breeds enough times.
As far bred to be aggressive. Many human killers, their neighbors often thought of them as "the guys/gal next door" or "the nicest/sweetest guys/gals around here."
