iPad Safari bookmarks problem
#1
I am having trouble organizing my bookmarks in Safari. I'd like to put a number of single bookmarks into a newly created folder. When I touch the edit button and drag a bookmark to the folder that I want it to go into, it doesn't let me do that.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a limitation of iPad Safari? If so, are there and apps for that?

I think you can sync your iPad Safari bookmarks with your desktop Safari bookmarks, but honestly, I haven't looked at it.

Many such things make me crazy on the iDevices. I just use the basic functionality the way they want to and try to avoid doing things the way i want to. Still love the dang things, tho.

Ammo, do you sync your bookmarks from desktop Safari over to iPad Safari?

If so, and you don't have a set on the iPad, and a different set on the Mac/Windows machine, manage all your bookmarks from the computer. Then push them all over to the iPad from iTunes when you sync, organized just the way you like them.

If you bookmark lots of stuff on the iPad, make a special "temp" folder that you can organize after the sync goes back to the computer.

Create a new folder using the Bookmarks icon. Then go to the first of your linked sites in Safari. Next, touch the icon to the left of the URL box that looks like a rectangle with an arrow coming out of it. This will allow you to add the current link to the folder you just created. Not particularly elegant but it can be done.
