Get someone to drive you home!

You don't want to risk being pulled over for impaired driving or DUI, It can be extremely costly!

I am so lucky. All I have had done is cavities filled as a kid. I have my dad's teeth-he is 96 years old and has all his teeth save one. No bridges, no crowns, no dentures... Hope that continues with me!

I have soft teeth so I've had more root canals than I can count. They're not a big deal and I'm the biggest baby on the planet when it comes to pain. Your wife will be just fine. There may be some minor soreness for a day or two but it's nothing awful and she probably won't even need an aspirin. Actually, except for the cost, I'd much rather have a root canal than a cavity filled.

Thanks for all the great replies. I was comforted by the responses. She did great and was able to drive home from the appointment with no problem.
