I'm regularly annoyed by the 'common sense' idea that those who are religious are somehow more upstanding and trustworthy than those who aren't.
When are we going to have an atheist on the supreme court?

I think so many people think it is ok to be prejudiced against atheists.
They truly seem to distrust and fear those that say they are an atheist.
I just say I am not religious, and leave it at that.

I found a free copy of “The Epoch Times” newspaper in the recycling today. The wife said it was put in our mail. She had taken one look and decided the recycling was where it should go. I took a quick look and agreed.
The one thing that struck me amongst all the Trump-puffery was the subtitle of the paper: Truth and Tradition.
Struck me as something Trump is distinctly deficient in, on both counts.

I want to :barf: at the supposed 'Christians' claiming support for the literal anti-Christ.
Every one of their rapacious butts would have been booted from the temple.

While the Christian religion recognizes that we all sin;, willful unrepentant sinning has been generally frowned upon, particularly of those in high leadership. But this apparently no longer applies to Republicans.

Speaking as a church-goer, I’d trust an atheist with a strong internal morality over a Christian who had to be taught right from wrong, and even then behaves him/herself only out of fear of punishment.

I think you can be confident that more than a few non-believers have sat on the Supreme Court -- it's not just politic to announce anything like that so they never did.
