THIS sort of thing is what we should be calling Trump Derangement Syndrome.

This is in the retrospecto-scope, but here’s our buddy Lindsey chumming it up out at dinner with Joe Biggs, a “known member and organizer of Proud Boys”:

The same Joe Biggs on his plans for Jan 6:

Joe Biggs, an organizer for the group, confirmed the alleged plans on his Parler account.

In a video, he said: "We will not be attending DC in colors. We will be blending in as one of you. You won't see us. You'll even think we are you. "

He continued: "We are going to smell like you, move like you, and look like you. The only thing we'll do that's us is think like us! Jan 6th is gonna be epic."

I mean, Lindsey changes allegiances and ethics like the rest of us change clothes, so I’m not sure what this proves, if anything.

Also, Ted Cruz never really liked this "Trump" guy, as it turns out:

"The President's language and rhetoric often goes too far," the Texas senator said straight-facedly [in a TV interview yesterday]. "I think, yesterday in particular, the President's language and rhetoric crossed the line and it was reckless. I disagree with it, and I have disagreed with the President's language and rhetoric for the last four years."

...[In fact,] Cruz has spent the last four years sucking up to Trump in any way he can think of.

Yup. Yes, he has. But he didn't like it, and he won't any more...unless it will win your Deplorable vote, and then he'll be happy to lick Trump's boots whenever you say.

Cruz sacrificed himself for what the people wanted. He didn’t want to do it, poor guy, and doesn’t like Trump, but the people do, and so it forced his hand and he had to support Trump. My heart weeps for him, he knows better but he’s trapped, trapped I tells ya, in only doing the people’s bidding. He’s utterly powerless to do anything but what he’s told. They are the leaders. They are the decision makers. They alone determine what happens.

Methinks modern Republicans take some aspects too literally ... as it suits them.
