Not the end of the world but anyone that uses NPS should take note that service Pro Services could be less efficient.

Nikon USA recently had layoffs that mainly impacted NPS staff (Nikon Professional Services). I do not know the exact number of laid-off employees, but I was told it was “significant”.
Update #1: it seems that the NPS layoffs happened also in Canada.
Update #2: Nikon laid off most of NPS this week as well as people in the marketing department combined with some forced retirements. More than half of NPS is gone leaving only 5 staff in the field as opposed to 14 two years ago.
