Leopard up and running
#1
Still no personal rocket packs, but everything else is quite pleasant. Instead of the normal Nuke and Pave method of installation I usually use, I went with a suggestion posted earlier:

1. Clone to another drive.
2. Wipe the first drive.
3. Install Leopard on the first, wiped drive
4. Use Migration tool built into Leopard to port what you need from the Clone.

MIgration even told me what it didn't/couldn't/didn't feel like installing (USB Overdrive for instance). Sure was hours faster than my normal method of reinstalling everything from scratch. Time will tell is there are any issues with the Migration method.

It sure is purty. Something even work better (like LiteSwitch). The final version of Safari corrected all the broken stuff (bank sites, Spell Catcher's autotype feature).

My biggest next step is to crack open Mail and use its migration from Entourage thing. I want to finally switch.

Still a ton to learn and peak under.

Sounds good, tuqqer.

I will be installing it on my Mac Pro on Tuesday (unless FedEx delivers a day early). I think I am going to use the same install method as you did.

And it's beauty, eh!

This is a gorgeous OS, elegant tweaks, and this thing is FAST on my C2D mini, 1G RAM.

Now to try it on a PPC G5 iMac.

Had to add printers: Brother & HP. Had to install new epson driver for R2400. Everything printing fine. Epson 3200 scanner working. No problems so far. Waiting for spotlight to finish indexing.
