I got the wi-fi enabled 2 GB SD card today from Amazon. Set it up in 2 minutes on my MBP to:
1. Connect to my home wi-fi G network
2. Upload photos to my MBP
3. Upload photos to my http://phanfare.com photo sharing site.
The card come packaged in this slick VHS sized pkg. Almost oragmi like - you pull open one side and the other side pops open containing the card pre-inserted into its SD card reader.
Software is installed in a few clicks afte inserting the card reader into the USB port. It adds a menu bar app that pops open to display a photo being uploaded to the computer.
After two minutes, we had taken our first photos and the card uploaded the photos to both the MBP & to Phanfare. Even the wife loved it.
Testing further, the card (with the camera powered on) uploaded to Phanfare even while the MBP was sleeping. Somehow, with the camera powered down, when I woke up the MBP, the photos got uploaded to the MBP upon wake up.
Some good FAQ questions on the http://eye.fi website. The best review I've seen is here:

This goes into much more detail than my write up.
Not worth $100 probably, but it is a very slick gizmo that makes family digital photography more convenient.
