Finally switching over from Entourage to the whole Mail/Address Book/iCal/.mac thing.
I'm really missing the Categories feature (and their diff colors) that E'rage had. I run two businesses and have 4,400 contacts, many needing a category that tells me what they purchases, if they're distributors, brokers, etc.
Is the ticket to just use Address Book's Groups as categories?

You could also put a note in at the bottom of the card containing what they purchase, and make a Smart Group which search for that note? (Actually my Entourage imports brought a note with the category with them when I imported.) Just an idea.

Why bother to switch?
Turn on syncing in Entourage and get both.

Mark, I'm intrigued. What do you mean when you say that Entourage imported a note with the category? I was not able to get any category to import over. True, everything in the E'rage Notes field came over, but that didn't connect with their particular Category.

That's a possibility, especially now that I see that Entourage's syncing works almost instantly (i.e., you add something in Entourage, and it shows up in the Address Book or iCal almost immediately). But it sure would be nice to send all emails through just Mail, and the only way I can do with groups is to know who to send it to.
