It has to do with encryption technologies. Which laws are basically stupid, because the tech is made outside the US anyway, and is not under our control.

Don't you remember when the G4 was considered a 'Weapon' ?

I don't think you read the page at the Buffalo site, this is not an import/export of encryption (munitions) case, it's a patent violation case and an injunction against importing products that infringe on that patent.

Few people probably remember this, but back in 1990, Motorola was involved in a patent case and a judge ordered them to stop shipping 68030 processors (which Apple was using at the time).
