I have signed up with Square but can't download the app for Android. I checked first and Square's site says my HTC Incredible is good to go-Android 2.2 and above is supported. I have 2.3.4 but when I clicked on the download link Square texted me, it says my phone is not supported! I contact Square and they get back pretty quick but ask me to do a screen shot of the message I got and to go to the App Store to find and download "Square Register". I have no idea how or if my phone can even do a screen shot and I have an Android so I don't go the the App Store which I reply back to them but nothing back yet.
So I do some looking myself and find there is a Google Play Store (as opposed to the Market) which I need to download the Square Register app from but when I get there (finally) I can't download because I didn't click on a "white shopping bag icon". I look and look but see no white shopping bag icon. I click on a help link and it tells me to go to my phone apps and click on the Google Play Store app-I don't have any stinkin' Google Play Store app!!! And when I "google" to try to find a Google Play Store app to download-yep; nada. All that happens is I go the Google Play Store site. And there is something the Google site said about the Google account I'm using which could be an issue but it makes absolutely no sense to me.
I was going to use Square for one client so that I can get paid faster. But this just isn't worth it. I think I'm going to get another glass of wine and see what the morning brings.
