Not racism, it's just politically correctness nonsense

How does he rank among the other candidates?
Who runs for office in Louisiana on anything other than the "suppress the black vote and enrich the oil companies at any cost" ticket?

30-seconds of Republican greatest hits. And yes, being politically correct actually means being correct politically (i.e. for the people).
Of course, conservatives have successfully turned such representation into a bad word. You don't become a mega millionaire by being any sort of "outsider." He just another chucklehead out to get another piece for himself.

That'd definitely work against Edwards (the current governor, who is a Dem in a solidly red state).

From your link: “Edwards is considered a lock for the runoff, unless he wins outright in the primary.” Let the Republicans tear into each other. Hopefully the loser’s voters will stay home in the general.

Hopefully the loser’s voters will stay home in the general. His being a lock for the runoff doesn't mean much ... he is likely to be one of the top two, since he's the only Dem to be running (so far as I know). The problem is what happens in the runoff: he could win the main election, then lose in the runoff. |
