The era of airlines mistreating disabled passengers is over
#1
"The era of tolerating mistreatment of airline passengers with disabilities is over.

Today, our department is announcing a $50 million penalty against American Airlines for numerous serious violations of the rights of wheelchair users."

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

This fine is 25 times more than the next highest fine ever levied against an airline.
About time. Pete is not playing.

Glad to see this. Airlines' treatment of disabled has been appalling.

I also know some people who are not disabled at all but ask for a wheelchair at the airport solely to get priority boarding.

They are called gate lice, and airlines are figuring that out on their own.
