My last cat liked to get up in my lap and have me pet him. Over the course of a half hour or so, he'd get more relaxed and roll around so he could get his belly scratched. Then he'd start--you never heard it, but nobody else in the house was eating cat food.
As Morris said in the Nat'l Lampoon, "Nine Lives Tuna & Egg really does it for me."

I don't know why, but I found this article (in Scientific American no less) completely hysterical.

As always, YMMV.

We know all that, all too well. "Get the damned dogs out of the bedroom!"
So where's Part II,
“How can I decrease the stink in dog farts?”
Stay tuned for Dog Farts Part 2!

A few days ago I was in the waiting room of my car dealer's service shop and a woman came in with a dog.
I was really surprised they allowed dogs in there, at least of the non-service variety (this was just a pet).
It started out as rather annoying because of occasional barking fits. Then it got really annoying because the dog let loose a spectacular S.B.D. fart that fouled the whole waiting room. What's worse is as soon as it became apparent what happened, the woman took the dog and left the waiting room rather than stick around and smell it herself and take the blame.

One of my clients has a cat who farts quite a bit. Good thing my sense of smell isn't great. I think her diet could use some adjustment.
