Mastercard priceless boys backpack robot dancing

Very few commercials give me any reaction. But I guess being a geeky boy, I can relate. (plus I was the first person in my school to carry a backpack for books)

They let ME do a lot. Star pupil, you know. Smile

My kids today all have backpacks/bookbags. Are you joking or are some areas paranoid about stuff to that extent?

Many guys carried pocket knives, and clip-on knives too. There was one guy I picked up some cars in Cincy with that had a full sized machete strapped to his leg. He was the older brother of one of my classmates. A little weird. But, I can't say I ever saw one fight at school. Nor can I remember any hostilities ever. Everyone was pretty mellow. Very homogeneous, too.

Saw that one on TV last night with my boys (ages 12 and 9) also watching. They thought it was hysterical too.

Ah, memories. I can remember being the 'weird' one because I used a rucksack. Well, I did use a bookbag but it fell apart after a few months of being used as a bowling ball while we were 'bowling for freshmen' (those sliders on the bottom really let it slide on the linoleum a long way, and loaded up with AP books, well, it was a major geek weapon).

Still, the ad was very cute, and must have come from someone's personal experiences as a geeky outcast kid.

Truly an eternal theme.

I can even remember when using a bookbag was considered weird.
