Like I replied to the previous thread where you asked the question, Intel has not made an Extreme processor in the Socket M format. To expand a little more, if there is a Core 2 Duo Extreme made with the 45 nm Penryn process in Socket M, it technically should work in a mini because it conforms to the spec for the socket. If it did run too hot, the advanced Speedstep function would throttle the clock speed down until it was cool enough.

Riiiight... buy a $200 used mini, add a $800 Core 2 Extreme processor and a $200 2.5" drive, and it might even outperform a NAS that cost quarter as much.
