[quote JEBB]Yesterday I was given a Color StyleWriter 2200 but without the power converter. It is pleasingly small and, if it would work with my Powerbook G4 (MacOS 10.4.11), I'd like to take it along when I travel. I have a Belkin F5U003 serial to USB converter that may work. Apparently the available Canon BCI-11B ink cartridge fits it.
JEBB, let us know if you get it working... I will try to test my old 2200 out as well. I bought an HP portable ink jet printer, about $350.00 I think it was, and it never worked well. Still have it too, but it is too unreliable to use. The old StyleWriter 2200 never failed me, still works on my PB Kanga (original PB G3), but that old Mac won't run OS X.
