Sadness. Third grader shoots fellow third grader at school.

There is more risk in driving. I don't know about you, but when it comes to dying, I don't care whether what killed me was made to kill me or not. Someone I know was killed by a screwdriver. Why is that different from a knife? kj.

Lets try something. I'll stand in front of a car coming toward me. The driver can do whatever he needs to avoid hitting me using equipment the car came with.

You stand in front of a bullet. The person that fired it can do what ever they need to do to stop the bullet using the equipment the gun came with. I'll even let you move. You have 0.025 seconds.
Ok, you've convinced me bullets are faster than cars. I've got a better idea. Let's outlaw cars, then outlaw guns, and see which law saves more lives? Then along with Roger, you can explain why it matters whether the object is designed to kill, or not. A preventable death is a preventable death. kj.

Try killing me at the end of a football field with a screwdriver or knife, I try not to indulge in insults but gladly do when invited. Rethink what you said kj.

Okay, how about some stats on the number of people killed in a car accident vs. the number of people who ride in cars and the number of people killed by a gunshot vs. the number of people who were shot?

Would you rather ride in a car or get shot?

kj is now comatose as a result of the latest bullet inflicted incident, he'll get back after the sutures are removed.

Classic strawman. I never made any argument resembling this. kj.
