I think not, but my daughter's baby shower involved about thirty people of all sexes in an artist friend's loft in NYC. It was a great party.

No. I was at one of the family-thrown showers for child #1. Most of the others were thrown by female friends and took place at times when I was working or elsewhere. Anyway, after child #1 the showers get very scarce. I've never been to a shower for someone else's child.

I was cajoled into a baby shower once and it put a damper on wives jokes and put-down of husbands. Never again.
