The problem is that OD's voice really carries, and even standing 12 feet apart, it's likely that Biden's (or another) microphone will pick up what he's saying, and it's also likely that they're going to do split-screen on the two of them when only one is speaking ... so I don't think muting the mic is going to accomplish much of anything. (Unfortunately, there are people out there who talk so loudly that you can hear them from down a hallway...)

Much of the interrupting and bullying is an ongoing attempt to knock Joe off his concentration, and for a dickhead like Dumbf, it probably feels like a pretty fair technique.

When someone is trying to get a point across while there is commotion in the background, it's obviously not easy to stay on point. For someone with a stutter, it adds yet another wall to break through.

No matter what happens, Dumbf will look stupid, sound stupid, and be stupid. And his base of deplorables will love every minute of it.

So during the "open mike" sessions - we will see all of Dumbf's nastiness, unleashed. Joe needs a few zingers of his own. Will he have any? (Because there are plenty to choose from!)
