Speaking of outdoor extension cords, what gauge do I need?

You can always use a Kill-a-watt device to measure current draw in case the manufacturer is off on estimates.

You can get outdoor extension cords in those colors, but many places stock cords that can be sold to contractors. I believe OSHA standards call for bright colors to make them more easily seen, so orange, yellow, and similar colors tend to dominate.
