I think it depends on whether the game will be shown during the shower, whether the ladies invited are hot, whether there is a pool table in evidence, and what kind of food and drink is being served.
Do guys typically attend baby showers?

I attended a bridal shower once. That was interesting.

Never, ever. No.

A man at a baby shower is like a wife at a bachelor party.

Guys do, but not men.

Most of the baby showers I can recall attending were coed. I can think of one that wasn't, but then it's been quite a few years and my memory of these things has faded. The only one I've ever given also included husbands/boyfriends and other children; it was more like a regular party with gifts (no games involving dice or diapers!).

I recall one in which baby-related notions were put in little brown paper bags and passed around. Guests were supposed to figure out what each item was by feeling the bags. One bag contained a nasal aspirator. I was sitting next to a friend who, like me, did not have children. She leaned over and whispered: "Do they baste babies?"
