Hate the tabs on top, but have fixed that.

Must be different on OS X, works pretty well here on Bodhi Linux (version built around Ubuntu 12.04 and Enlightenment as the desktop). I can clearly delineate between tabs and it seems like my eyes flow naturally from tab, to url bar, to content frame.
The problem for me wasn't the clarity of the different tabs. It was that I automatically moused to the wrong area and it was irritating immediately. I feel no need to remake those habits, when there was nothing wrong with the original placement of the tabs. It seems just as natural and logical to me to have the tabs right above the view pane.

I understand the complaint, but as an old time Opera user, it wasn't a hard transition to the new Firefox look. Opera had tabs above the url bar for at least as far back as version 7. Over time, the interface became more streamlined and the tabs inched closer and closer to the title bar.

All in all, the new Firefox look is not a system shock for me on account of my experience with Opera. Personal preferences will always differ of course.
