The sweet pea in the backyard was knee high. I set the wheels as high as they would go, propped open the discharge cover on my Honda, & got after it. I got filthy & will probably have a few bruises on my legs tomorrow from getting hit by sweetgum balls.
It's interesting that so many of the plants I dislike have the word sweet in their names.

I did the front yard yesterday. Luckily I have a 20HP Cub Cadet. Unluckily - no matter what direction
I went, the wind blew the exhaust from the blade all over me.
I'm still waiting for my "free blades" from Home Depot. That was part of the purchase deal, and they ain't
here yet. I can see by the way it's pushing over thick grass and weeds (despite gallons of Ortho) that they
aren't too sharp after last year's cutting fest of small bricks and even a 6volt battery that were caught in
the "cow catcher" - and pushed (without my being able to see it) into the lawn from the garage, but I got
to hear it as soon as I lowered the blade - because somehow THAT triggered driving OVER it.
The 6v battery left a patch in the grass I call "Chernobyl" - my only saving grace being that the blades
are belt driven, not connected to the shaft!

That Yellow Club Cadet is a POS *(:>* Mowing is all about blade revolutions per foot traveled. Get a Honda or John Deer Rider. Or Move to Libya no Grass to Mow *(:>*

It's an ORANGE (MTD) Club Cadet. Same as the Huskqvarnas (sp?) & Craftsman 20hp units out there.
The yellow ones were before everyone was bought up by Minn Tool & Die.
A Honda or a Deere would be worth more than the acreage!

I had to cut my lawn about a month ago here in Central Florida. I overseeded my lawn with ryegrass this winter, and it was getting huge. I've cut it another time since then, and probably should again soon.

Yeah! Heck, I even shoveled some of the stuff the other day. We
did have a pretty major melt off this past week with a good run of warm air, although there are still some dirty mounds of the stuff where it gets plowed into a pile.
Around here, it won't be lawn mowing season until May. And then, maybe!
