Yes, totally delusional.

You do realize Apple pays less than 12% income tax
No, I didn't realize that. The sources I have read tell me different:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/04/busine....html?_r=0
"Apple said it paid 'an enormous amount of taxes' to local, state and federal governments. 'In fiscal 2012 we paid $6 billion in federal corporate income taxes, which is 1 out of every 40 dollars in corporate income taxes collected by the U.S. government.'"

http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/...apple-pay/
"You’ll recall that claim from earlier in the year that Apple only paid a 9.8% tax rate on its profits. Cue much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the New York Times and other places. The problem was that those doing the calculation seemed unaware of how the corporate tax system actually works: in arrears...

"... we get a tax rate of 13.8%...

"All of which provides us with an answer to why Apple’s cash paid tax rate seems so low. That 9.8% reported by the New York Times. Because Apple’s profits have been growing very quickly, that’s why. Such low tax rates will be true of any company whose profits are growing quickly using that calculation method."

Apple has also been taken to court over price fixing (eBooks).

Whoa — do you really believe that this bogus* action by the government imputes corporate behavior by Apple that is in any way comparable to Samsung's criminal activities? Sheesh...

Oh, and next time you can't legally root your non Apple tablet, give a toast to One Infinite Loop. No single company has a monopoly on Government manipulation.

What do you think Apple's role in that has been and do you have any evidence?

Ha! We agree on something!

I think you care because you crap all over any mention of Google, Android or Samsung. People are trying to use these products.

You caught me, v63. I really do care that Google and Samsung are corrupt and evil. I guess I am trying to save people from using those products.

So, your best case scenario is Apple pays 13.8% on only 30% of their profits and something less than 2% on 70% of their profits?

Right, any action against Apple is bogus.

You are truly unaware of the persistent attack Apple has publicly lead against jailbreaking? I'll be back with some links when I'm done configuring my AirServer setup.

Did you read the cited article or even the extracted text I quoted? Commentators are calculating tax paid against the prior year's revenue as though it was the tax for the current year. They're either idiots or are intentionally misleading.

The only "attack" Apple has lead is to fix errors in its software that allow jailbreaking exploits.

One of the accompanying quotes you provided was from Apple itself. I'm sorry, that is not independent analysis.

Here's a contradiction from the Forbes link:
"Divide one by the other and we get a tax rate of 13.8%. Which is certainly different from the 25.2% they claim. And no, this difference is not because of the offshore profits thing. That’s already been accounted for in the 25.2%."

So 13.8 % is likewise incorrect?

Incorrect. If you are going to toe the company line, you should know what it is before posting.

Apple says jailbreaking is illegal: "Apple says jailbreaking its iPhone is copyright infringement and a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act." Check the linked filing with the Library of Congress

Apple v. EFF: The iPhone Jailbreaking Showdown: "Apple vigorously opposed authorizing jailbreaking, saying copyright protections is what gave birth to the iPhone, the 1 billion app sales, 50,000 app developers and 35,000 apps."

iPhone Jailbreaking Could Crash Cellphone Towers, Apple Claims. Again, checked the link for the comments files with the library of Congress.

U.S. Declares iPhone Jailbreaking Legal, Over Apple’s Objections

Jailbreaking Tablets Deemed Illegal; What Does that Mean For your Mobile App Testing Strategy?: "Apple argued in its briefs to the Library of Congress that jailbreaking creates an infringing use of their copyrighted bootloader and the iOS operating system itself (Ref 1, Pg. 12)."

I go partially agree with you AA. Patching known vulnerabilities, that just happens to be methods used to jailbreak iOS devices, is not inherently bad of Apple. In fact, patching vulnerabilities is a good thing.
